IAABO Play of the Week

I agree with the entire assessment. The calling official did not give any preliminary information. Why is that so important? The foul could have been committed on one or more players. The official looked like he was deciding which player committed the foul while walking (not hustling) to the table. If he forgets the number, there is no one to help out. His partner would not know and the players would not know.

So at the point of the foul, briefly pause and step toward the players to let them and your partner know what you have. Then hustle to the table to give a better impression. Walking looks very sloppy and unprofessional. On a good note, the officials reporting mechanics were strong and clear at the table.
