I am not a fan of this call. The defender maintained verticality and (in my opinion) did nothing wrong. It should have been a jump ball. You could not let it go completely otherwise you would have to call a travel on the offensive player.

At other times, a defender makes a clean block up high (not a jump ball situation) and the official will call some minor contact below with no clear advantage a foul. Let it go. The more you stop the play, the more you give a coach an opportunity to question you.
