IAABO Play of the Week: traveling/contact

We covered traveling yesterday at the meeting. If a player picks up his/her pivot foot there are only 3 things that can be done legally 1) pass 2) shoot or 3) call time out; beginning a dribble is illegal.

In regards to recovering a loose ball, we need to be more vigilant in determining if contact is excessive and/or if there is an advantage gained. If one player jumps on another to recover a loose ball, more often than not, it should be ruled a foul ... not a jump ball.
