You must register with the MIAA to work MIAA games. ========== Dear Game Official,
I first want to thank all of those officials who were able to work last year. It was quite the year. Here is to hoping that we all get back to offering interscholastic sports this coming fall.
Many fall officials will be registering beginning today for Fall 2021. When you sign in, you will see a new database which you will find to be more straight forward and I believe easier to use. To help with your efforts, you can use this link below to get to the ArbiterSports website:

2020 cadet training
Please help spread the word about cadet training this year. We've had lots of interest this year. Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------------ I believe you all know that the class and exam this year will be giving virtually through the IAABO University. The online class is self paced and the Education Committee will be holding weekly Zoom Q&A sessions starting Sept 15th to answer any of your questions. We’d rather do it in person but we think this is the best alternative to keep everyone safe right now. We will be providing court training at a later date and place to be determined. To get registered for the class please send me your contact information (name, address, phone number and email address you want to use for the class) and a check for $150.00 made out to IAABO 175, 90 Lamarre Dr, Marlborough, MA 01752. You have any questions please feel free to contact Terry and me. We’ll do our best to help you any way we can. New cadet training begins Tues, Sep 15th

That will work itself out in the long run, so I need your help in recruiting new officials. If you know of anyone wanting to become a certified official, please direct them to our website (http://www.iaabo175.org/becoming-a-basketball-official). I will keep the link as current as possible. Enjoy the rest of the summer. Terry terryirish12@gmail.com |

Basketball officiating camp from Apr 4-5, 2020
Dear Officials: Basketball officiating camp season will soon be upon us once again. Attached is a brochure from the New England College Officials Camp to be held the University Sports Camp in Hanover, MA on April 4th and 5th. This is a great opportunity for officials looking to advance to the prep school, JUCO or Division III level, as well as officials looking to be observed by local high school assigners. The competition at the camp is a very high level of basketball and all games are officiated as Crew of 3. This is one of the best camps in our region for officials to receive exposure, and I hope some of you will take advantage of the opportunity. Attached is a brochure for your review. For more information you can also visit www.necollegeofficiating.com or contact Larry Last via e-mail at lnlast@comcast.net I hope to see some of you there. Officials vs Cancer
At a recent meeting, Tom Lunder explained that the 3-point shooting contest was a fund raiser with donations going to the American Cancer Society. He also requested that each official donate a game fee in memory of a family member or friend that you lost to cancer. The website is now up & running making it very easy to donate online: |
