There were a number of members who did not attend the required number of meetings last year.  (The requirement is 3 Board Meetings PLUS the Interpretation)  This is very discouraging to the executive board who puts a lot of time and effort into providing members with material and training to improve their officiating.  According to our rules and regulations, Nick will be sending those who missed meetings an email outlining the fines.  These fines need to be paid by August 1 or you will be suspended from the board and will need to additionally pay and take the class over to be re-instated.  We as a board take this very seriously.  Also given the number of members who failed to meet this requirement we are considering a change to our rules that will impose stricter penalties next year.  It is important that we keep our skills up to date and the meetings are the best way to do that.  Please plan accordingly as you start to accept games to make sure you are available for the required meetings.
